Answering the national call of the #GreenLegacy initiative, we are proud to announce that we have successfully planted 500,000 saplings today!
Our dedicated company family came together for this momentous occasion. Planting events flourished across Addis Ababa—from the scenic hills of Entoto and Ashewa Meda to the grounds of the Hamlin Fistula Hospital—and extended to numerous cities throughout Ethiopia.
This incredible achievement was made possible through a united effort. We mobilized over 12,000 of our employees, alongside esteemed government partners and the local community, to collectively reach our ambitious goal of planting 500,000 saplings.
Our commitment to a greener future is a long-standing tradition. Including this year’s efforts, we have planted over 4.3 million saplings in 805 locations across the nation over the past six consecutive years. We are incredibly proud to report an 82.5% survival rate, a testament to our sustained care. Beyond its environmental impact, this initiative has created more than 23,000 job opportunities for our fellow citizens.
